If you do them yourself you will need to leave the reflector part of the light visible, or they will fail the MOT.
Personally i'm not a fan of tinted rear lights.
Some times yeah, if it's an RS model I might give them a wave if they are staring at the car (no real point in school mums in 1200's etc)
Most do the old 'pretend not to notice the car trick' Hmmm, eyes on stalks for ages looking at it, then when I clock them (and they see me clock) they look...
I like the new stlye badges, but as pointed out the price of them is a bit on the high side (I guess to keep chavs away from getting them) halfrauds even do a 'V6' badge too, it's crap though as it's one piece, not separate.
I'll probably come along to one, only to spectate etc though (dent free here)
There was one in Westerham, Kent a while ago - loads put down for it, but failed to show (i'm not saying that it'll be the case this time at all, just that some don't like parting with their hard earned;))
Sod paying 3k or whatever to insure a 2.0 ! Maybe see about a 2.0 conversion for your current car and getting quoted for that ? It may come out cheaper ?
