i would keep the RSi interior in the car giles, i quite like the pattern on it! :)
on a side note, how did you get the ball off the gearstick without cutting it? mine's scratched and i cant get it off!
are all parts that hard to get hold of out in SA?
it may be worth trying places like GSF car parts online. They sell oem parts and can probably deliver to you quicker than renault can, and be cheaper too!
i did it as a joke. I get so fed up with trying to explain why my clio is better than the others you see on the road. Its far easier just saying "i drive a little clio" and its become a joke at work.
yup, spray over the whole badge, then hand paint the numbers. then laquer the whole thing. did the same for my silver ones.
spiezels, yeah i'll race you, im getting the 1.2 8v engine conversion done next :)
got my hand all strapped up, broke my finger in 2 places :(
yeah ypu have to remove the whole bump strip. open the doors, front's slide backwards, back's slide forwards. then just squeeze the clips in and pop them out :) if i can do it with 1 hand, i'm sure you'll manage!
i personally prefer the look of the standard 172 spoiler. It just seems to follow the roofline better which i prefer. Not too keen on the "flick" at the end of the cup spoiler.
Another thing i disslike about it is the brake light. It just looks stuck on whereas the normal spoiler has it...
if the wheels are curbed then you won't get £200 for them.
£150 at a push is the going rate at the moment, lots of sets have recently been sold around this price.
i know it used to be set as default if you joined and didnt enter a car description... so everyone was driving Mk2 172s without even knowing.
Not sure if thats still the case though.
ive done several myself... best advice i can give is take your time!
you want to leave at least a whole day between the stages of applying the primer, base coat and laquer. You only want very fine coats too, dont aim to cover the whole section in 1 coat, its best not to! 3 or 4 coats at each...
