The little pipe near the throttle body is the breather pipe,
you can remove it and block the hole off on the inlet elbow,
it's just any oil that would get fed back into the inlet manifold will just drip into your engine bay.
I'm using a silicone pipe so I don't have the breather pipe at all...

Without a more detailed description of where the knock's coming from and when it happens,
it's pretty hard to diagnose, it could be any number of things.
The knocking will be the either the dog bone mount, or one of the engine mounts,
and the leak will be one of the seals they're known for it,

in order to get them to fit flush you have to push them in with a decent amount of force,
so when it comes to glueing i'm not quite...
This has been covered so many times it's unreal,
if you type 'Boot won't open' into the search bar, you'll see endless threads on this,
but to save you the bother of reading the same thing over and over again,
most of it typed by me, it's the boot solenoid, £50 quid from Renault,
you can...
Horrible, but if your misses likes it and it keeps her happy then fair enough,
but other than a Monaro I wouldn't drive anything with a Vauxhall badge.
