Mine turned out to be my top gearbox mount, had lost it's bottom nut. Not something you can see without taking the whole damn thing out... but for the price, I'd get a new mount for it and check everything's ok.

My only issue with one is that you've got to ***** about getting them off of your laptop, just to do this, time you could have spent watching them on the laptop, no? Unless you're going on a train somewhere or something obviously.

Very hard to enforce on cars that don't have the DB printed on the v5 like newer ones do.

The most common issue on the normal engined clio's is the speedo sensor on the box giving up, might be worth giving it a go. You've done a good job repairing that mate.

There's your problem. Get the car on the floor and give it another go. Strut tops should be loose before raising the car.

A totally different car in my experience, they do seem more eager as standard than the ph2, but I think that's the cable throttle.

Brilliant now, but it wasn't the cause of the vibration. The top gearbox mount was fudged, so that's sorted that, the drive shaft has fixed my CV joint issues though :) Bugger. Should have popped over really.

I replaced a shaft today on a driveway with just basic tools (oh, and Budgie off here). Second hand ones can be had for around £50.
