God knows, i've never tried cutting one off.
If I was you i'd get another gearstick from a breakers yard to try it on,
I mean you've got to hack the old knob off, then make a thread for the end of the stick,
I wouldn't want to try it on the stick I use every day to drive to work and sh*t.
My solid engine mounts didn't increase vibration in my car and I fitted them myself.
But if you want to save a few quid and keep the standard feel,
then new oem mounts are the way to go.
If it's not firing how can it turn over then stop,
it would have to fire up for a few seconds in order to stop.
Or do you mean the starter motor is turning it over but it's not firing at all,
as in you stop turning the key, it stops making noise?
When you polybush one bit, it tends to transfer the stress to the next weakest part,
which in your case is the engine mounts.
Have you tried pushing on the engine to see how much play the mounts have?
Re: Star City - Sunday 6th March 14:00
Bahrain GP on the 6th of April. :dapprove:
I take it you mean April and not March,
because we'll need a time machine to go back to the 6th of March.
Is that the same seller, or the clueless tit that bought it off him
then realised it's actually a sh*t heap with none of the mods it was advertised as having?
Weird, any resurfacing recently, no lips on the road surface causing tramlining?
If you're the 5th blow out that week something on that road is damaging the tyres.
It amazes me it's legal to drive a car like that on US public roads,
given how H&S concious the yanks are, the old bill in this country would tow it away and crush it.
