Nope. The mount plates on the underside of the spoiler are bigger than the original spec too. It's either been modified or it's a replica.

That's not a S1600 spoiler. Or at least it's mounted differently. The S1600 ones are bolted into the standard spoiler IIRC. EDIT:

What about a direct short when your mate accidentally kicks something? How much current does that draw? What the LEDs draw is irrelevant. Putting an inline fuse in, as you have suggested, is fine though.
