Exactly. Also, try heel and toe changing in a car with over-servoed brakes...it's almost impossible to keep a constant braking pressure as the slightest movement of your foot to blip the throttle alters the braking. They've got the RS clios spot on for that in my opinion.

Safe with pre-tensioners. They only pull in to a pre-determined pressure, so they'd fire, but not tighten any further as it's already tight enough. I love mine. Used it daily for 18 months now.

My opinion is that they look horrid. But, if you were to compliment them with these... ...and this... ...it would complete it and look much better.

A 172 Cup would be ideal for you. I've covered 91k in 3.5 years doing a similar mix of driving to you, and apart from a few mnior niggles it's performed 100% all the way both on and off track. 40+ mpg and 12k service intervals (I've done it every 6k from new) does not make a costly car to run...
