Neither, your garage is pulling your pants down,
cleaning it is one of the easiest jobs to do yourself.
Edit : Just seen you have a 1.2, iirc the TB is in a right awkward place behind the engine,
I was talking about a 1*2, sorry about that.
I love drag racing, standing next to these things when they're giving full blast
is the most insane car related thing I ever seen or heard in my life,
I thought my ear drums were going to explode!
Yep it's worth it in the long run,
at least I know the car's history and how it's been treated and driven in the 6 years i've owned it,
instead of buying another one with belts and history that I have no clue what kind of life it's had.
The K-Tec ones only have a little sticker on them that you can pull off,
quite frankly I was amazed it was still there after you had it for two weeks Fred. lol
Yeah it's a f*cker when it all goes wrong at once.
At the start of this year I had :
Both belts
Dephaser
Water pump
Coil Pack
HT leads
Alternator & new bracket
Air Con delete (it was smashed & broken)
Sump Gasket
That little lot was £900 and that was a mates rates price, should have been...
I've probably spent a minimum of three times what the car's worth on uprated parts and major servicing,
if I like a car i'll spend whatever it takes to keep it going.
If it's just a chunk of metal to you and you have no real emotional attachment to it,
then i'd be moving on to something else...
Should have took your car down the strip then you girl, I was nice and toasty with the heaters on all day,
while you were freezing in the stands, quietly weeping over your perfectly functional gearbox and changing your tampax! :rasp:
I'm so getting a dead arm the next time I see you. lol
Indeed, not to mention panicking what's his names Skyline,
he had a bad launch and I had a perfect one, took him the whole 1/4 to catch me,
only took me by a car length at the line.
Although the last time I saw him he'd sorted out a minor boost leak and added more boost,
if I race him again...
The strangest thing:
A large old style tube TV for a mate (at the time),
doesn't sound strange but he'd just burgled someone's house that ripped him off
and neglected to tell me that's why he needed a lift.
Not that smack heads robbing smack heads is the crime of the century,
he didn't last...
