Clean throttle body or replace it?!

Neither, your garage is pulling your pants down, cleaning it is one of the easiest jobs to do yourself. Edit : Just seen you have a 1.2, iirc the TB is in a right awkward place behind the engine, I was talking about a 1*2, sorry about that.

The Impreza picture and discussion thread

I can't believe how many people on here have gone from an immaculate Impreza to a 1*2, i'm looking to do the exact opposite to that.

How much would you pay to keep a Clio 172 running when on 162500 miles?

Tell the group how much you've spent flogging a dead horse then. lol

    1/4 miles

There's nothing quite like living life a quarter mile at a time.

    Brilliant.. PH1 172

It's a good job he didn't go into motorsport then, seeing as he doesn't know the difference between a backbox and a manifold.

    Brilliant.. PH1 172

    Fail, you fat ginger potato.

    1/4 miles

That's quite enough from you supercharged nitrous boy! Go shoe a horse or something and stop making the rest of us feel inadequate. :dapprove:

    1/4 miles

Only been once but 15.0 is the best i've done, it was a stupidly freezing cold day though, so hopefully I can improve on that in the future.

    Top Fuel Drag racing

I love drag racing, standing next to these things when they're giving full blast is the most insane car related thing I ever seen or heard in my life, I thought my ear drums were going to explode!

How much would you pay to keep a Clio 172 running when on 162500 miles?

Yep it's worth it in the long run, at least I know the car's history and how it's been treated and driven in the 6 years i've owned it, instead of buying another one with belts and history that I have no clue what kind of life it's had.

Vibra Technics mounts where to buy??

The K-Tec ones only have a little sticker on them that you can pull off, quite frankly I was amazed it was still there after you had it for two weeks Fred. lol

How much would you pay to keep a Clio 172 running when on 162500 miles?

Yeah it's a f*cker when it all goes wrong at once. At the start of this year I had : Both belts Dephaser Water pump Coil Pack HT leads Alternator & new bracket Air Con delete (it was smashed & broken) Sump Gasket That little lot was £900 and that was a mates rates price, should have been...

How much would you pay to keep a Clio 172 running when on 162500 miles?

I've probably spent a minimum of three times what the car's worth on uprated parts and major servicing, if I like a car i'll spend whatever it takes to keep it going. If it's just a chunk of metal to you and you have no real emotional attachment to it, then i'd be moving on to something else...

¼ Mile At Pod - Saturday October 19th

Should have took your car down the strip then you girl, I was nice and toasty with the heaters on all day, while you were freezing in the stands, quietly weeping over your perfectly functional gearbox and changing your tampax! :rasp: I'm so getting a dead arm the next time I see you. lol

¼ Mile At Pod - Saturday October 19th

I was launching at 3k rpm on a frosty day last time, plenty of grip if you've done a decent burnout.

Vibra Technics mounts where to buy??

Yep, it's no cheaper buying them off ebay with postage, plus there's a bit of club discount to be had with K-Tec.

Indeed, not to mention panicking what's his names Skyline, he had a bad launch and I had a perfect one, took him the whole 1/4 to catch me, only took me by a car length at the line. Although the last time I saw him he'd sorted out a minor boost leak and added more boost, if I race him again...

What do you keep in your boot?

The strangest thing: A large old style tube TV for a mate (at the time), doesn't sound strange but he'd just burgled someone's house that ripped him off and neglected to tell me that's why he needed a lift. Not that smack heads robbing smack heads is the crime of the century, he didn't last...

What do you keep in your boot?

Umbrella in the boot, jump leads under the passenger seat, water proof coat, over trousers and wellies in the passenger footwell.

LOL indeed, although it would have needed £900 quids worth of work without the drag day, can't have helped though. :o
