Run on your road rims/rubber Neil, it'll be fine.
Paul...be careful fella.
Addictive it most certainly is; I'm buying a bigger shed to hold all the wheels + wet/slick/semi-slick tyres I've now got
PMSLOL ^^^
You didn't have too much difficulty getting out of it then? Or did an ARV turn up, fire sixty warning shots in the air, before throwing a few flash-bangs through the windows?
I agree, if they were that devious...but most of them can't even spell Renault, let alone think of devious ways to screw over their customers beyond "that's normal wear and tear so not covered".
Ha ha ha, all that trouble as well. Like Day said, they don't even pick up the phone when they should.
Then they'd have to be able to justify, prove 100% in fact, that that random username they came across was you, and that what you stated on the forum was factual.
No way. There's no...
Do you take your plates off when out driving in case someone sees it and makes a clone?
I've never understood why people go to that bother with pictures myself.
Serious question...
How many people can genuinely say they know someone who's had their car identity cloned, which then got them...
Mine drives mine fairly regularly too. Hates the noise. Loves the "go".
Throttle response is too sharp for her though, she's no idea what smooth is LOL
Never puts her foot down enough for me either.
I have a rubber fetish, and that is properly sexual.
This year Paul, this year at some point we're going to go head to head on track, can't wait mate :race:
My car was dyno'd recently - measured 148 at the wheels, which equates to roughly 175 at the fly.
Using those transmission losses, your alleged 192 at the wheels would give you 227 at the fly. So that's an extra 30 bhp. From a remap. On a Renault normally aspirated engine. ROFLMFAO.
Where...
Lovely, keep us up to date with how you get on with it.
I'm on the lookout for one of these for myself for when my Cup retires. Great cars.
What did you pay for what mileage if you don't mind me asking? (PM if necessary)
Thanks
I think the 197's a great car, refined, well screwed together, sure-footed.
But, I think a hot-hatch should be a hooligan, that's the point. Big engine, little car.
My 172 cup is a hooligan.
The 197 isn't in my opinion.
I think posting pictures like that is a good idea. It serves to remind everyone that there are dangers involved, and no matter how well prepared you think you are, there's always a risk that you'll stack it.
Nicely done :D
You'll get a wide variety of opinions on here...
Personally, I think your first priority it to get braided lines, that should firm up the pedal. I know your looking for something more serious but decent discs and pads, and a set of wheels that let your brakes breathe properly...
Not a Clio (obviously), this thing was mental.
It went from 160bhp at about 4,000 rpm, to 480bhp at 5,000 rpm - you can see how violently it spools up from the graph at the end of the clip...I can't even begin to imagine what that must feel like on the road :D
Enjoy
Difficult to say Chris...at Janspeed I only got an "at the wheels" figure - which was 146 IIRC.
A month ago at Surrey Rolling Road I ran 179 at the fly, which was 149 at the wheels I think.
Today I only got a fly figure, and that was 170.
Relative to everyone else, it's still doing what it...
