My point was for you mate, not against you, and nothing to do with insurance. Just making the point that it was obviously a very small incident and you used common sense in knowing the car was not damaged and carried on.
They're quite rare, but not overly popular. You have a choice of three other spoilers.... a standard sport spoiler, a cup spoiler and a trophy spoiler.
If you want to know what's what, I can sort pics.
I bloody love them, I've no idea why, but I do. Even though I freely admitt I know nothing about them.
Yours looks cracking
My friend has a blue one, stripped, fast as hell, is a probably on all the forums, alex his name is.
You should call your insurance every time you make any change to your car, do you?? This could in turn en-danger someones life somehow...
Sometimes, common sense prevails.
Why jon? I have no idea about the rules of the ring?
Looks like a good holiday, and it's nice to see someone with the "it's only a car" attitude.
At the end of the day if you went on a normal holiday and lost your wallet, you could still have a brilliant holiday, guess this is no different
I used silicone spray and thoroughly cleaned mine, after doing it half arsed all the time and getting no where, doing as Danlp6 describes, it fixed it.
You need to upload them to a third party site, i.e flickr or photobucket, then post them here by using the post images button.
You can attach images to the site when you are a fully paid up member.
It will be the speedo sensor as mentioned above, it's actually harder to see on a 1.2 8v than it is a 2.0 (lol) but it is in the same place.
To remove it you twist a quarter turn or similar, very easy to change and only about £25 from Renault.
If you want a hand and are ever over this side of...
Awesome! I didn't see one the whole time I was in NZ the year before last, hope you enjoy it mate, not sure if you're our first NZ member? Hopefully someone else will know!
Welcome to the club.
I changed the passenger side, they're very easy to check though, i.e its quite obvious if one has gone, and tbh this certainly doesn't feel like a balljoint.
I think I might just take it to a mechanic for a diagnosis, what I do about it from there is up to me I suppose.
Car drives straight yeah, but since doing the balljoint the wheel is off centre, (just needs tracking, but need to fix this knock before I get that done)
As for why I only changed one, I'd change bigger parts in pairs, but something like a balljoint I didn't think it was at all essential to do...
I'm waiting on Kam racing to send me some bushes for my dog bone mount, then I'll get both GB mounts changed. (hopefully this week)
Only thing is, why would the gearbox mounts make the steering wheel jump?
What did it turn out to be mate?
I changed the ball joint on one side because it was quite clearly worn, made sure I used the 12mm bolts though, there was no play in the otherside, so I didn't think to check the bolt sizes, but I will, cheers.
I'm skint at the moment, serious reducing of student overdraft/bank troubles, so...
Nope, it's 1 single knock, not something bouncing off something, i'm quite certain it's something shifting under the weight of the car.
It knocks when you pull off, pretty much every time, and sometimes when braking.
Last time I checked it, the rod was fine, I couldn't undo it to replace it though, so it's still sitting on my dining room table... lol!
Hopefully in the next week I can replace the dogbone and that.
Engine or bushes on the wishbone etc?
