Steve - I have to say i'm a bit disappointed with your valuations bud, ok yeah it's not a nice time to trey to shift a vee, however if every one priced them up as you have they second hand vee market would crash & they would be worth sweet fa so to speak.
As RichRsi just said, ones for 8-9k...
IF it's not had it done I wouldn't want to risk dsriving it tbh, you can never be too careful. Also if it's not done it's a complete sign of neglect, so based on that, what else has been neglected too ?
If it's been done & it can be backed up as I said earlier on, happy days !
Nick, have a look in the thread I started the other week for a steering wheel re-trimmer, a few re trimming places were mentioned in there.
D class were one of them.
That is very cheap for renault. I was quoted £80 by them, the swines. There is no way they are touching my car at all.
As for being told to look for an a/c re-gas for £30.00 Good luck with that ! Mates rates only imo.
He should still have an invoice with the details on it saying cambelt kit etc + labour & whatever else was done @ x amount of miles & the date.
Stamps in the book are nice too (although they too can be faked)
If he doesn't have that long it off.
That's freaky, maybe the owner of the car is selling the plate too ? Just not on the car ?
It looks nice to me (well from the pics anyway) Then again you can't go by pics all the time. I'm not keen on the seats, way too busy for me.
Do I come or not ? Originally I said no, but i'm tempted now. Just a thought in my head really (please no spam saying come come come etc) I shall have a think some more :)
To make it look really OE get the sat nav top dash & use that. Costly but it looks great. Other than that (as said) test your skills at making a surround etc.
Sell yours on Sunday, then tap up your rents or bro/sis if you have one to go look at a car with you. There is no harm looking at & putting a deposit on a car now though, just pay the seller for the 182 when your dude pays you for yours.
Don't take this the wrong way, forget local-ish. You need to be willing to travel say 80 -100 miles, sometimes more. I've been willing to travel to the other end of the country before (spoke to folk about cars in scotland) Ok so it's a big gamble, but you have to get a load of pics & really...
To be fair when your hankering after a car you think to yourself, hmmmm I quite fancy it, then you start considering buying it, but tbh you never know what's round the corner - a complete minter might turn up next week for a nice price, or it may not. Luck of the draw tbh dude.
Like I said...
Sorry, just re-read your first post, if it needs a grand spent on it in a few months, leave it.
Imo cars where you have to shell out straight after buying just show that they haven't been maintained fully.
