Just exchanged for some 5w40 and the car needed all 2.0 litres of the bottle! Oil level is now looking correct, thanks for the help guys.

H'ok I'll try and change to 5w40. I did see some in halfrauds but it said that it was designed for diesel engines?

I didn't check the thread before buying so got 10w40. Bugger. Is it best to take this back and exchange for 5w40?

Just checked the oil level and it's a bit low, had a look in the book and it recommends 10W30, 40 or 50. I've had a look at the guides on here and that's pointing to the same recommendation, however I don't know what oil was last put in. If it had 10W30 and I was to put in 10W40 would this be...

Such a waste of a life and a car.
