stuttery suggests to me its not firing on all cylinders and a coil pack has gone, quite common with renaults, I'd replace all 4 not just the faulty one as they'll all go one after the other if not, sods law.
its not a priority as renault wont pay the full rate to have it sorted (labour rate) so if it was 2 months older and out of warranty they'd do it straight away and their eyes would light up.
speak to reno uk, get it seen to asafp, they dont prioritise warranty work cause they can make more money out of retail customers, have a word.
And get the problem known to Renault UK before the dealer tries to drag it out till the warranties up!

good for £100 defo, could sell the i3 for £99 probably as its hard to get them at that price and demands always there.
