Have GDI up all their prices..?

not doing anyone any favours with this thread, internet forums are a nightmare for bad mouthing and killing a company's reputation. Usually inaccurate comments and chinese whispers that leads to such posts. As has been said if you think you can get it elsewhere, do so... don't diss someones...

    172 Cup @ AC Bearsden

u cant recognise Fraser, he's never been to a meet lol (have you?!) nice one re the warranty, they always chance their luck, they'd make u pay and still claim it back from Renault, i.e. paid for twice! Mines going in on Tuesday to get my new headlight washer fitted, better not scratch...

    need some 172 cup honesty

most the faults on my 182 have been on things that the 172 cup doesnt have, so the 172 cup is the most relaible of the lot IMO due to having less to go wrong. depends what you're used to I guess, but feel quick?! they are pretty quick its not just a feeling lol, will see 60 in 6.5secs which is...

    Which one? 182 or 172?

I think the ratios are different in the 182... Seriously though the seating postion is s**t (but you get used to it) and the steering feel aint all that IMO, get a 306gti / rallye and save a few more quid. 172 / 182 are great cars for the money, lots of fun and will put a big grin on your face.

    Which one? 182 or 172?

dont agree that the work will have been done there's a lot of people oblivious to faults out there, it'd be pretty naive to expect the work to have been done. When people say they've never had a problem with their RS Clioit makes me very sceptical and think, do they know what to look / listen...

    Which one? 182 or 172?

182 aint worth it unless u want the warranty. all 182's should still be under warranty unless imported from some obscure country. not enough difference to justify it really, I bought it cause I was buying new. considered a mk1 172? under £5k and same performance.

    172 Cup @ AC Bearsden

the steering wheel they fitted under warranty should have a years warranty on it... even if the cars warranty is up its warranty runs for a year from when fitted, the guy with grey spikey hair is a knob, young guy in servicing is cool and old boy mechanic (short with inverness accent) is spot on.

    182 @ Caledonian Court, Glasgow

used to work right across the rd in Dales. Watched a bird who stayed there getting a good seeing to on her window sill from the shop once and there was another who had a sign saying "toot for tits" so we did and she kept her part of the bargain. Bloody great these Caley girls

    Another expensive service :(

cv gaitors can be done on the cheap by getting a big universal one shove it in boiling water and stretch it over the hub etc, saves a fair bit od labour time!
