Honestly just about melted the nut off the drivers side taking the heat to it!
Even the lowers where horrible and we had had those off for the springs a month or so ago. Ended up firing copper grease on the remaining threads to help them slip off, I think I will need to replace the top nuts as...
Fitted a new battery and alternator on Friday after my alternator gave up the ghost. such a tight squeeze to get the old one out was cursing it so didn’t take any pictures.
At about 2am last night after putting an engine back into my mates cooper S, we decided to fit the rear Gaz shocks and...
Cracked on this evening and done the majority of the shitey bits of carpeting I was putting off.
Pictures are terrible as it was dark by the time I’d finished. I’m sure there will be plenty more to come as it comes together.
Next up is doing the floor and making a fold down bed. Need to grab a...
Mk3 non sport clio, top mounts line up and the shock is marginally shorter than stock.
So going to have to have the lower where it meets the knuckle adapted. I will post up in depth about it if it all comes together. Spare Hub/knuckle came in the post today so I will get to mocking something up...
Been trying to do a million and 1 little jobs done on the kangoo and I seem to get one thing done and another one pops up while I’m doing it! The fun of motoring.
changed the fluids on it that solved the really notchy gear change.
Although in having it on the ramp noticed a pretty horrendous...

It’s going to be a “make it fit” situation but it seems very good quality!
Not a great deal to report, got a couple hours today to carpet some more of the rear. Cut 6mm ply for the roof and made a lightweight frame to support it.
Need to carpet the rear opening at the doors before I do the back half of the ceiling.
lots of other bits and bobs have been delivered...
Not much of an update, taking a break this week from working on it to gather some materials. Might do some little odds and ends nothing major though.
New wheel in from Megane 225.
And got a cheap fitting for the t10 bulb and a bit of strip light so it comes on with the doors. Just handy having...
Sorry read it again it makes more sense to me now. Yeah no problem if I get the chance I will have a look tomorrow. Mine has a mixture of bolts and nuts also a couple of fixings in the top. Will get a few pictures tomorrow
Got the bulkhead out over the weekend and cracked on with the insulation that finally came yesterday. Still to do the floor and some odd bits but it’s coming together.
My mate came round and wired in a switch panel just straight off the 12v so I could have some LEDs and some power if I wish to...
Fired some leftover 50mm kingspan insulation I had in the gaps. So I can get an idea of things and to hold the sides together I’ve put one of the carpeted sides in and my flooring back down, it will protect the floor as I need the van tomorrow.
If I get the chance tomorrow it should all start...
Cracked on a bit more today. Quite tedious doing the sound deadening. The foam stuff is ok to work with, ended up using what off cuts I had to wrap round the wheel wells. Not pretty but it will all be covered!
Might do a bit more after lunch but I’m still waiting on my foil insulation coming so...
Thanks mate! Anthracite and I bought from here:

Had intended to insulate the floor today, as with all things cars it didn’t pan out that way. Under the plywood floor it was a right mess. The joys of doing this to a builders van, sawdust, spilled paint and glue all had to be removed from the floor.
Under my foam tiles was a sheet of plywood...
While I’m still waiting for insulation to come I set about carpeting the panels.
Fairly easy to do, quite messy.. thankfully I’m in the middle of having the kitchen renovated so wasn’t too much bother to have glue on the floor. But I would advise if you are doing it to cover the floor! Not the...
Ah yes I’d been looking at that. I wasn’t entirely sure myself. Was chatting with my mate last night about getting this blown over with some fresh red paint. Would be ideal to fire on some smooth handles too!
Good man! Al have a think I’m not sure what I need now it’s mostly just the crap to...
Yes they are identical fitment dead easy to swap over.
I’d have had it off you! To be fair I’m trying not to load this with renault sport badges and look full nonce with it 😂
although:
Been doing some eBaying to carpet and somewhat insulate the back. Just going to fire a list of stuff I’ve bought in here more for my own records!
Also bought myself some 197/200 handles for the front doors and a Megane 225 wheel.
Not really been doing this on a budget or anything just kind of...
@Brigsy those where the wheels I’d been looking at but 17s just feel a little small. Just trying to fill the arches a bit more like a Stancey boi!
@Martin_172 love that … although reminds me of the stance of the Megane on here years ago with the clio 182 wheels 😂
@VenomUK ah yes glad you...
I went from rainsport to Ad08rs and sold the wheels so back to the rainsports. I’m in the same boat as you really everything is good in the wet as you’d imagine, but damp and dry roads I find them sketchy at best.
As Daniel states it’s about expectation. They are probably one of the best cheap...
Van is now marginally lower than it was, changed the springs over yesterday.
Didn’t take any before pictures side on as the weather was pretty horrendous and we where sheltering half in a lock up while doing them.
After although it has settled somewhat this was just off the jacks:
And a...
