Extending the bottom is essentially shortening the throw

Bend shaft, extend bottom, stiffen up with o rings.

It's smaller than 1.5"

I'm sure it's around 12mm but I can measure it up for you when I'm home from the standard shifter. You only want to extend it about 1.5"
