They actually told people they're meant to rattle from factory? I don't believe that.
I understand they did rattle as I've found old threads but it shouldn't have been the way! I don't mind chasing buzzed and running foam tape everywhere. There's not many panels!
It's not bad in my car, just things like the interior plastic trims buzz sometimes along with the pillars and tweeter covers. They only rattle and buzz because of parts that are illfitting, if you put something between them it'll stop the rattle.
I have loads of new clips so I'll just go around...
I currently have the doorcard off after the regulator decided to get wrapped around itself. I'm wanting to put a little sound deadening behind the doorcard before putting it back on and just wondering if anyone can recommend some decent relatively cheap stuff to use?
I know there's dynamat but...
I have one of the small ones and it's been fine from SGS.
Probably been used over a 100 times now and not treated very well. I keep it in the house and it's not too heavy or big which is nice
I seeee.
I might have different symptoms and I definitely don't need to control it downhill with the clutch. I presumed op meant more on gear changes where the car can 'lunge' slightly when lifting up the clutch. Almost like wrong gear.
Mine does this ever so slightly and have solid engine mounts all round. Fitting an evol dogbone mount did seem to help.
I had a polybushed one before and it was slightly split, I'd check.
Yeah I'll have a set of anthracite 2118s with basically new ad08rs on them for sale soon. I'm in Huddersfield but don't mind travelling a little if it helps someone. Et43. They have been refurbed in the past, but I'll do an honest ad when they're ready to go. Need cleaning and sealing first
Check the 2 bolts for the lower balljoint. I had exactly these same symptoms and they just weren't tight on the NSF.
I also went over everything else nipping it all up. Check the nuts coming down from the stabiliser bar too down to the wishbone bushes.
