That made me laugh!
Unlucky though, although it could of been much worse it's never nice to see your pride and joy damaged. Good excuse for an Orbisoud exhaust though!
Not a chance! The Yorkshire Dales is brilliant for the roads!
But yes, I love random drives. Pretty good around my area - The Strines, Snakes Pass, Holme Moss, The Dales, and a few good roads locally. Perfect car for it, too! On those sorts of road, a narrow, twisty 2nd/3rd gear one, not much...
My standard Trophy 'beat' one from a rolling start last summer. Both on the outside lane on a dual carriageway, he was behind me, the car infront of me pulled over to let us past. 3rd gear from 60mph ish, through 4th, and I pulled away considerably. At least 3-4 car lengths from him being about...
The front bumper looks much better when the rest of the car is black. Wish they offered xenons as an option though, such a little thing made a big difference to the 197 looks.
Seriously though, how do the drivers of these terrible creations drive these things!? I'd die of embarassment driving that. Actually, choosing between that and oooh let's think, a pink Nissan Micra convertible, I'd take the pink Micra thanks.
Why oh why! Do they honestly think it...
Definitely. Like I mentioned, my previous experiences with the main dealer in Wakefield have been terrible really, they know f**k all about what they are trying to sell there. Like the bloke who didn't have a clue about a 197 Cup and insisted on there being only R27's in, and I quote, 'that...
Just wondering, has anyone elses fuel pump gone on their 1*2's? Mine went about 12/13 months ago, then it went again last week just as I was on my way for a blast up to the Yorkshire Dales, out of warranty too. Took it to Renault Pontefract as soon as the problem showed (as mine had already gone...
I actually like that! After all my negative comments about the front, in white the 200 does look good! Much better choice than the Green.
That white 197 above though, best looking car on the forum. Perfection, that.
That first photo just shows how much of a difference a few subtle modifications can make. Slight drop, silver-visions, smaller plate to fill the recess; perfect! Exhaust looks good too.
Oh, so that's your excuse! ;) Only kidding, it looked great by the way. Mine was just around the corner parked at the side, I was gonna come up but thought it'd be a bit sad talking about Trophy's and that!
I've seen a few around Wakey/Castleford a lately though, thought I was the only one aswell!

Fantastic noise, strictly a track car I know, but so what! I'm in love with it! Pretty cool that Pagani actually took it on the public road for a cheeky blast too!
I did a search, but nothing came up.
Happens most days when I'm out in mine. It's very rare that I don't get any attention from the usual Corsa's and Saxo's. I don't mind it really, but some drivers take it too far, I don't mind booting it in suitable areas but when you get to a 30 zone and they get back to within an inch from your...
+1! A club where the insurance costs are really quite silly, but at the same time, worth every penny when the revs swing passed 5k! Oh, the attention too! :o
It was ugly in the first photos, and it's just as bad now! A truly terrible looking car, totally spoiled it! The 197 was so good looking too. I went down to my local Renault dealer to see it in the flesh but no, still ugly. It was in green too, not a vibrant green like the Focus RS but it looked...
I'm gonna go down to see if my local Renault dealer has one in this afternoon, just to see if it looks any better in the metal because on the photos it looks absolutely f***ing horrible!
The 197 was and still is such a good looking car, don't change it for this munter!
If it's a Trophy I do, but I don't bother with the lesser models. ;)
I've had a few other Renaultsport Clio's flash me so it's always polite to acknowledge them back. There's a lot of boy racer Clio's in my Uni car park so mine always seems to get attention from those too.
Comparing a run-of-the-mill Megane with a £200k supercar, cracking comparison!
I've seen a few on the road and they do look ok, but I prefer the old shape if I'm honest. I'm sure it'll grow on me though.
Ok, it's lighter than the outgoing model, but so what? My point was that it still looks massive. It may well be lighter, but it certainly doesn't look it! It dwarves the Astra next to it!
That Megane is massive! Looks about two hundred kilo's overweight on those photos! Saying that though, the looks are ok, but the alloys on that one are terrible.
Love the Astra Nurburgring by the way, always had a soft spot for 'em. They sound great with that Remus exhaust, and I actually like...
