Last night whilst pissing it down with rain the battery decided to die on me at a cross road. I managed to get it back after a jump start but there was nothing left to even lock to doors...
The car has a new alternator and battery so something is taking life out of it rapidly... With recent...
Me and Matt are going top pop down nice and early, I wont stay too long as I have a house viewing to sort out. I will be in the track car even though the idle issue hasn't been resolved :(

PM me for a price if you want to collect before auction ends. Alan Fearnley artwork so very well detailed, I don't really have anywhere that would suit this picture now so might as well sell it.
No update as such, only put stickers on the new headlights but rain has stopped any work on the car :( I'm thinking of selling the custom inlet soon so feel free to PM me for details. I'll put a full sale thread up as and when I come to that position, they will be replaced by some new parts ;)
About £1200 iir, that included the uprated engine mount. I might have my home made system for sale soon, just totting up some figures for ITB's to replace them.
About 2.5 hours I think. It's not the distance that's the issue, it's the car being s**t to drive on public roads and stalling every time you stop at a junction. I might have to bit the bullet and go there, will be an expensive trip just to increase the idle speed a few hundred rpm :(
That would be the long term plan ;) for the time being will just swap them over on track days. I just need to sort the idle issue out and this is good to go now! Finally :)
Small update, with the weather being nice this weekend I thought I might as well crack on with the headlight project I wanted to do. With induction filter right behind the headlight I thought it would be ideal to have a cup racer style headlight as used on the MKII 172's.
I've previously...
Re: My 172 Cup (T5MY G) 191.2 Bhp & 173.4 Torque
I doubt it but worth a call. I bet the Lambda will sort the issue! I hope so anyway... If the weather is nice tomorrow I'm going to have a crack at removing all of the front dash :)
Re: My 172 Cup (T5MY G) 191.2 Bhp & 173.4 Torque
Oh, and just for the joy of it... after a month of good driving, the emission light has come back on  F'in Renault s**t!
Re: My 172 Cup (T5MY G) 191.2 Bhp & 173.4 Torque
My car randomly went into limp mode for a month, ended up being the pre cat lambda and some moisture in the bulkhead loom making it have a spaz all the time. The second the car sees some resistance in the loom it s***s itself and throws up any...
Re: My 172 Cup (T5MY G) 191.2 Bhp & 173.4 Torque
Are you sure it's not a bad earth or damaged loom when you removed the dash? It doesn't take much for a snagged wire to cause a fault code.
It was mapped but I believe with an air leak, now that it's all fixed and running high comp and custom airbox, stalls. Don't really want to fork out another £300 to sort and idle issue out.
It has been done Chip, I can't find the bloody thread though :( The chap that bought my Momo Boss fitted it to his standard wheel. I think he simply centered them up and drilled through to pick up on the fixing holes.

Is it me or does this...
