Depends how much you can afford. I'm sure I saw a thread on here where some one had a carcoon for their xr3i. They are about £380 but seem to be the best on te market.

It's definatly a DIY job it's just a fiddly bugger. There is a guide on here. Basically you'll need to remove the air filter and housing. If I remember correctly Renault devised a complete new part due to this being a common problem.

Not mich at all. A couple of hp at best. It'll make the car breathe more easily though.
