The 182 is no where near as smooth as the Rex in its power delivery. Also the handling is not as grounded. I know this doesn't sound good so far but bear with me. The Clio is a very different car in every way. I find the Clio more of a raw experience, its more chuckable and more aggressive...

Welcome mate. I did the same and moved from an RX 8 for exactly the same reason. You won't regret it. Apart from looks th only thing I miss abou te Rex is the way it delivered its power.
