Tried to start the old girl last night and found battery flat charged battery up only to find that today Battery is truely dead :( going to try with some jump leads later.
With ref to a do it guide I have got alot of things written down I will put into some kind or R5 GTT to 172 conversion guide.
The GTT box is more than upto the job, it managed to cope with a 229bhp C1J lump I am sure it will be more than fine with the F4r lump:D

Cheers matey, ECU is now on it's way back from being demobilised, just need to sort the timing out now and put the bits I have taken off to clean and paint back on for it to be running fully.
Well she is getting their very slowly had some fueling probs recently which turned out to be split phase 1 172 fuel rail and obviously I am still awaiting the ECU to be demobilised. (Hence no more pics or vid's yet)

Loving the project winston out of interest what injectors are those you are using?? If known what CC are they??

I have got an alloy fuel rail from a volvo t5 that has been modified for the 172 just need volvo injectors that will match the 172 Spec , I was saving the rail for when I go turbo
My rail is obviously phase 2 so where is the fpr located (not in the rail)?? or does it not run one (would of thought it would have 1 being efi)??
Or can i just run it direct from the GTT Fuel sender unit direct?
Hmm just been looking at my fuelin rail and am just finishing off and notice that i am missing the 172 fpr but I have also noticed that my rail is blocked?? does anyone have a pic of the fpr I reqwuire and where it should go???
Getting really bored now almost there just got to get the ECU demobilised so just tidying things up with the car so started with a good clean
Have replaced most of the under car fuel supply pipe with braided versions (Fuel tank to cossie pump is now 12mm bore pipe instead of 8mm OE stuff)
Well it turns out it is not my dogey wiring but an ECU that was sold to me as being demobilised when in fact it was not:( hence the immobiliser symptons.
Many thanks for all the advise i am confident with my wiring that all is ok but will double check anyway.
I purchased the phase 1 ECU of a fellow Cliosport member who apparently got it demobilisied by RS Tuning gave me all the details to contact them which I am going to do.
