Bought those grommets @Touring_Rob failed to link to 👀 (for ref. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07H9BZ7CG/?tag=cliospnet01-21)
This one is the best size as you need to cut a wedge out of it to fit it. Unless you buy them before and fit but I wasnt that prepared 😂
Protects the line perfectly...
Sweeet. I did measure them as needing a 7.5mm ID and 14.5mm OD grommet but if I just get that kit might be as easy. Cant say I see them wearing through anyway really.
Today I went out to be greeted with a small puddle of brake fluid coming out of the nearside rear brake line. Luckily it was tiny and hadnt completely drained the fluid and as I'm on annual leave this week meant i could sort it out!
Had a set of @BRT Motorsport rear axle lines in my parts box...
Had some black stickers in my kit so just shoved that on and I'm pretty happy with the result! Red rubber grease on the piston seal and pistons then dust seals pressed into place. Fitted my braided link pipe from @BRT Motorsport which looks ace.
Now to do the other one 😂
I'll get some special brumbo stickers
I'm happy with the colour, need to resist touching them too early now! Stickers are gonna go over the top of the lacquer as read issues with them causing air under the lacquer and peeling them at temp. How true that is I dont know...
Silver or black are...
Thanks mate, appreciate the kind words!
Started painting my brembos after all the prep. Took my time masking, using orings in the seal gaps before finishing with tape. Ear plugs were also used to block all the holes up!
Only 1 done so far as I ran out of orings.
Pretty happy with the finish...
