Sorted now. For anyone in the future the little rubber guard prizes off. You can then access the clip underneath which you use long nose pliers on and a screwdriver to push out.
Thread bump but struggling with removing the clip from where the pedals are. Do I need to snap off the plastic locking part? Dont see how it easily comes off otherwise
It was second hand but in VGC. I checked and cleaned all bearings aswell as replacing the bearing sat in the shifter tower itself.
Is there a depth recommended for the sleeve joint? Was unsure how far to go when first setting up.
This is exactly what we did during the setup, might be its ever so slightly out of alignment.
It's a job I keep putting off as I'll be doing it by myself 😂 Its annoying me too much now so I'll get it sorted this weekend hopefully. Fingers crossed..
Rotation changes or linkage lengths into the sleeve? Its fine for day to day driving but when pressing on I'm not confident.
Its felt fine I think, I'm confident the box is fine as mark built it.
Mine feels w**k still. Touching the limiter in 2nd and shifting to 3rd it just doesnt go in easily and I end up missing the gear. 5th then feels toss as it's almost like it's at the end of the bearing travel.
Going to have a play this weekend but failing that I'll take it to someone. This cant...
I'm comparing mine to the custom scenic I had. I know it's not quite setup right and needs some tweaking but it was such a b*****d to get it to this stage 😂
Also add an oring between the lift up sleeve and the big nut at the bottom. At 70 mines fine, at 71 it rattles. f**king horrendous thing and probably one of the mods I don't rate as mine has never felt 'good' since fitting.
They're cheaper, run good bearings and then also have the coating on them so they rust less. The rear motrios I'm not sure which bearings they run? Have a look at them and see if they're SNR.
Tbh for a daily you'll be fine.
