thanks dan :D
yeah its the same thickness and everything just looks a different design! yeah figured as much.. binned.. aligned by eye anyway
any advice on what to lube.. and what with being as ive lost the little pack that came with it?
input shaft.. inside the release bearing.. cluch fork...
nah I won't, pulls really nicely great improvement over standard so either way im happy but I had it on their rollers before the cams so would be interested to see what the difference is on the same RR.. plus for £30 you cant go far wrong with that !
only one way to find out :) place down the road from me in hinkley 'dynodaze' has a dynodynamics RR £30 for two power runs and print il take it down there soon when the gearbox is back together in the next couple of days and see what it does!
Just a couple of questions before it all goes together..
Got the old release bearing off it looked like this one on the bottom.. Not marked valeo
My new valeo kit has one like this one on top.. Slightly different design!
Clutch and pressure plate looked the same and are fitted no worries...
this kit when all put together is pretty much exactly the same as the Ktec kit.. sounds ace.. performs well.. just £100+ cheaper.. !!
the cone has a nice cut out at the front for a cold air feed too.. which is nice :P
aahh.. yeah.. mine did that.. only a very slight intermittent whine, didnt crunch though but started to judder a little when pulling off.. think that was the square bearings might of had something to do with that! can't wait for the new recon box should be ace with that and the new clutch...
you know as typical a response as you would expect on a clio forum....
black gold..
lovely colour.. Im in love this paint code! the paint choices for most of these cars its one thing i think renault got absolutely spot on.. love monaco blue as well tbf but its still all about bg for me!
Few of how it stands at the moment.. Clutch fitted... Body waxoyled.. Engine all repainted..Arches all cleaned and sprayed up gloss black.. Subframe is getting a lick of paint too whilst I'm at it.. Anti rust and just so it looks smarter.. Plus I'm just doing things for the sake of it whilst I'm...
ipad day in day out... hands down winner imo and i have used all the competition as well..
this may sway your decision.. http://store.apple.com/uk/product/FC769B/A
we're often down at curborough its a brilliant little course! we sometimes organise days down there where we hire the track out usually about £40 per car for a whole day
if you ever decide to come down il get sam to take you out in it.. crazy thing..!
I wonder what the ratio is of BTM/TDF/Birchdown etc making a mistake on a cambelt vs the amount of times they have to fix other garages mistakes when someones 'had a go' at doing a F4R
I managed to get one brand new from a scrappy boxed and everything the other I got through a friend who works for Renault think it was 180 really can't remember lol worth it IMO as the front looks so much better!!
