I noticed there's a slight amount of what seems to be fuel on my gasket for the inlet manifold, is this normal? It doesn't look to have been leaking at all, just a little bit sat there and also underneath the gasket.
Re: How to remove wings, do headlights have to come completely out or just pulled for
Again with the sideskirts you can just undo the front and pull them away from the wing to come off.
If you're making a replica though, sideskirts won't be an issue.
No idea, I'm sure I'll find something though :) I want alcantara bits too, like door cards and rear seats (and eventually my roof lining). I do have a similar theme to you going on, but I think you have a bigger budget :o
I just borrowed one off a mate, just an old ph1 wheel and fitted that for...
They weren't fitted long ago either! I'm going to take the wheels off at the weekend and properly look into all the components and check for play in anything. If I can't find anything wrong then it's going to a specialist!
The last bit is exactly what I thought - for as long as I own the car I won't have to worry about rear dampers.
If you do go for Konis, set them to half way and the Sachs to 22 clicks from soft and you're onto a winner. Absolutely amazing handling.
I bought the set (handbrake one too) but decided that the latter looked s**t, so asked for a part-refund and they agreed. They sent me a full refund and when I asked if it was a mistake, they just replied 'no worries thanks again' so I gave up!
No it's off eBay, snappy PM'd me a couple of days...
Mine were refurbed in October and are still fine. Track rod ends, inner tie rods and ball joints all replaced recently too.
The noise has changed now from a banging to a sort of almost 'rattling' noise... like a longer, more feint but continuous noise when going over bumps.
