What do I do then? The pads have a small crack down the middle, presumably from being stuck on. I'll be getting new ones but I don't want to fit them and the same thing happens because of the caliper!

Re: Third Time Lucky; Trophy #41 - UPDATE - Yozzasport has gone... It's still on the original hangers but I've zip-tied a load of sockets from an old set in there to help prop up the rubber bits! You can get it sitting perfectly by doing that surprisingly.
