I can do a Mk1 clios head gasket for Near £60, Thats if I'm not doing the Water pump while its all off. Think I can do it for about £65.4 :) all parts on trade tho. Maybe more near £70. I would love to be able to do it for £50 :)

Haven't read the thread but if its the bleed nut for the cooling system it needs to be metal, Or strong plastic with a good seal not a dust cap :P

Solenoid getting stuck ? Try locking and unlocking it while in the car aiding the lock up and down

If the garage has done a exhaust gas test in the water system then its 100% the head gasket / cylinder head.

The belt may need tightening after a while but it don't ever bed in and get better. When there newly fitted they should be perfect no noise.
