if your trying to save cash swaping a 197 for a megane 1.6 16v is idiotic, assuming he has saved £900 a year as you say, that could easily be doubled while driving something better and more fun.

you know the 1.6 16v megane does about 7mpg more than the 197? should have gone for a dci for the 40mpg extra over the 197 and £30 road tax!

my DCi went into arnold clark for its 12k service - oil, oil filter, and cabin filter £160!!!! lol doesnt even include an air filter!

whats been done in the past and what age is the car? as there is no 40k service they are every 12k

while were at it heres my old one. AWT matched inlets ITG pannel filter Samco inlet hose 182 exhaust manifold k-tec 2.5" Decat/link pipe k-tec 2.5" stealth exhaust system and the same car same rollers, standard apart from an ITG panel filter and 10k miles less

try and find a diesel one in your price range mate, much quicker around town low down and mid range and do twice the mpg with half the road tax!

very nice, same engine i had in the clio, get a good bit quicker with miles, dont know what weight the megane is but it had a good punch in the clio 3, mine used to make great ground cross country and never even reving past 3k!
