Sounds like a modded st to me then and he's keeping hush about it.. ;) Even so, most VTS's are extremely quick for what they are, in standard form too. Us clio sport'ers have a slight advantage but not much. :D

Ehh??? An ST170 leaving a saxo VTS?? thats very doubtful as the st only does 60 in 8 secs. So unless the VTS driver wasn't trying/had a crap car/ had 4 lardy mates in, then he would've stomped all over the focus ;) As for a clio 172, well ... thats a different matter, half second quicker and...

At least with the engine being in the back it won't have damaged the sump at the front ;) lol

Well.. if we're on about dropped out cars... On the yorkshire cliosport meet last sunday we came across this dumped in a corner of a pub car park just round the corner from Bolton Abbey. It must've been drunk as it was left in its own puddle of wee ;) No rear bumper covering as you can see...

The mk1 was better point to point but if I could have the 182 suspension/steering setup in the mk1 it would be fast as well as corner crazy :D Don't fred, I'm gutted as it is for part-ex'ing my mk1 172 for the 182... *strums through auto trader* ;)

Mmmm ... I have to admit this.... I don't like black wheels on a mk1 172, ESPECIALLY silver. I'm traditional I suppose and you can't spoil a car like that ;) Makes it look erm, well.. cheap and chavy. but thats just imo.

Shouldn't do, I had my first service on my 182 done on 10,500 (1.5k under) and they still do all the normal I would think ( glad I did actually, cars running nice now ;) )

All I can say is if it wasn't for ABS I would've gone into the back of Joshydee on Sunday as I would've slid into the back of him :( ABS is good for one thing only... It allows you to steer without locking your wheels up ;) Edit:- is there any pics from the back, someone might know the reg.
