dyno graphs dont mean s**t, my opinion since i had one does
highest powered sottish 2.0 clio on standard inlet!! that was on standard cams and map too!!
ive owned a 1.2 16v, DCi65, DCi 100 currently have a 1.6 16v and 172.
1.2 16vs are terrible on fuel, horribly slow to drive
DCi65 is a much better alterniative, just as slow but never feels it due to a nice low down punch (think of how a 1.2 shifts with 5.5k gearchanges, thats what a dci is...
got to disagree i got a nice gain on mine, granted the decat possibly done that but 15lb/ft mid range and 10lb/ft peak torque. never dropped anything top end either as you would usually expect with a 4-2-1.
ive always told people its a decent gain, hard going to change it but worth it if you...
ive had a few stick before but never had an issue a sharp impact and they come off, but these were seriously seriously tight i think someones put them on with an impact gun and then never changed the discs in years!
only stuff that was done to mine was pannel filter and a decent remap.
had i kept it i would have removed the EGR valve and decatted it and fitted a larger intercooler, thats about all, however the clutch is only good for 185-190lbft and will start to slip, black diamond now do uprated ones...
yeah gt 106, i usually just take it pretty easy but went for it lastnight because it was quiet just to see what it would top out at and was going for it for a good few minutes, a google search does confirm of a load of diesels doing this any time people are sitting flat out for a few minutes...
bit off topic, but my post above about the carbon build up burning off, you had much dealings with it? ive googled it but its mostly high millage cars that are suffering from it, however ive never had it flat out for such a long time as i did lastnight, but funny enough that weird lag problem...
endless posts like this are driving this place into the ground.
belts are cheap on these dont need any special tools, they are cheap as chips to do, even a garage will only charge about £100!
what a nightmare with them today! went in and bought some nice new sharp chisel and a huge hammer, and they eventually came off after about 2 hours of going Radge as fuk at them, totally destroyed the things lol
new brembos are all fitted and ready to be bedded in :)
there was so much bad press about andy when he was the owner of GDI. he ended up closing down. ive never used him or his services so maby its wrong to judge however there was massive bad press on here about it all.
yeah post up in Henks area on this site or give him an email. highly...
yeah they are simple i was a bit confused by all the stuff too before i got mine i ended up putting up a thread saying right start to finish tell me everything lol.
maps are different, personally the way i look at it Henk at fastchip as the man when it comes to mapping cars and if its still...
i like the passion people always have at the foreign meets, theres always some one with a banner or cake or something lol!! always look a lot more close and friendly than the pics from CS meets, although the scottish ones as rare as they are are usually pretty friendly!
this is what ive been doing, its not rounding anything its just twisting torx bits until they snap! decent halfords professional ones too, this car hasnt done many miles in years so the discs are ancient!
