Pmsl, that's honestly all it used. I was driving at a steady 50 all the way, but still expected it to be higher.

My dad has the same one. He's not overly impressed with 45-50mpg that he gets so he'll be pissed when I tell him this, though he gets that doing 80 on the motorway. Maybe so, but I only put a tenner in!

Running fine now! It's awkward because it's the most difficult bolt to get to, and it's screwed in, so I would have to spin the housing around and then use pliars. Not sure how far it's done in though, so could be stuck forever! Yep, seems the last owner treated it like s**t tbh.

Sounds like an air leak, mine was doing something similar. Check everything is plugged in as it should be.

Last time I saw this it was a Campus with a different bootlid. Now it's completely transformed, hats off to you mate!

Turns out there was no thermostat in there at all! PMSL no wonder it was playing up. Also, I snapped one of the bolts that holds the housing in place, so now it's stuck in there forever. s**t.

Haha yeah, anything but snow on Christmas Day is pretty standard in England! Honestly though, you can have endless fun in the snow, and when you want/need to, they will go literally anywhere. Laugh/take pity on people getting stuck, your choice :D

My engine is getting up to temp, but when I boot it it's saying the temp is going down (overcooling?), and hence giving me a rev limiter of 6800ish.
