You also have the Prima Racing 'uprated' exhaust mounts, but they're a bit pricey at £80-£90 a set.

Pro Speed in Cardiff modified my existing mounts (similar...
Looks a nice car and your plans sound good too.
I'd look to refresh some of the other suspension components; wishbones with bushes and balljoint, track rods and ends, steering rack bushes, ARB bushes and top mounts (add springs and dampers to the list if you don't go for coilovers). It'll...
Genuinely saddened to read this Andy - can't believe the luck you've had with this car!
Good to see you aren't giving up though and look forward to hearing about whatever you decide to do next.
Cheers Joe, I'd saw them when searching actually, so it's good to hear they come well recommended
Did I read you had some issues with a set of wheels before (could be wrong!), if so, take it that wasn't them?
Hi all,
I have a few bits i'm looking to get powder coated (subframe, wishbones, ARB, etc.) and so i'm just looking for some recommendations? Preferably in Derby or close to, but I don't mind travelling further afield.
I was just about to post the same. Silver would be my choice too!
On a separate note, how are you getting on with the car since it's been supercharged @Cub. ? Any teething problems?
Did they do anything else, besides changing the oil and filter? If not, i'd say you're probably right about it being either a loose oil filter or the sump plug washer being reused.
Of course, it could just be a coincidence and something completely unrelated...
There's something wrong if your Sachs dampers are only lasting 10k miles before needing a rebuild.....
The Sachs dampers will be better than the Konis and from a resale point of view, your Trophy will be much more desirable with the Sachs.
That mount is definitely nackered mate.
My original mounts had done 100k and when I replaced them all the difference was incredible. You could replace them all for under £100 and it's an easy DIY job.
The exhaust mounts from GSF are meant to be ok according to Fred/BTM (haven't tried them myself). Having said that, unless you get a discount, there no cheaper than genuine mounts from Adam.
Don't touch the cheap eBay mounts, they will last five minutes max!
Hi all,
Hope this is ok to post in here. I am looking to purchase an external flash to be used with a Nikon D3300 and Sigma 10-20mm lens. It is worth mentioning that the camera is used at work (estate agency).
Since we purchased the 10-20mm lens this has highlighted the need for an external...
Last time I checked with Adam/Renault Wolverhampton the ARB bushes were £7.80/pc, so it would be just over £30 for them all. Obviously your mechanic is going to want to add his bit, too.
It's possible to change them with the subframe still in place, but its not the nicest of jobs. I'd guess...
The horse shoe should fit into both the exhaust cam and inlet cam notches like so (courtesy of Fred / BTM) -
And this is how K-Tec do cam timing..... you'll see how the horse shoe doesn't line up with the two notches.

It was about two months afterwards. They had done the works- cam belt, aux belt, dephaser, water pump, full service, cat back exhaust and "custom remap". Not a small bill by any means. The first thing I did was replace the map with an RSTuner Map and had the timing corrected. It was like a...
What will you be using it for? If for road use / occasional track use, I'd go for a refresh of the standard suspension components. There's really no need to do much more as they are so capable out of the box (in my opinion anyway). Typically, the things to replace are:
Springs (I think the...
I can't believe somebody would witness that and just drive off... it's shocking!
Fortunately, the damage doesn't look too bad and I imagine could be sorted fairly cheaply?
Cancelled the insurance on the Trophy and bought another Clio, this time a DCI 100. Really impressed so far, the average MPG from Walsall back to Leicestershire was 72.9 MPG.
A year on and mine is now on 111,000 - must be up there with the higher mileage Trophy's now? Hoping to take it off the road for 2015 so it shouldn't increase too much....
Is the fuel pump very common then? If it is I'd just stick a new one on for peace of mind tbh. Belts I was planning to do anyway. Are the turbos ok generally?
Cheers for all your help
I'm in Leicestershire @Daniel but I'd probably travel for the right deal .... have you got one then?
