Were definitely 19 16v wishbones first time round, bought using a 19's reg at my local factors. As said, the problem came from running 172 shafts with them. With 19 shafts you'd be fine as they're shorter.

Was going to put it down to unevenly worn old discs, but that can't be the case with new ones. Did you remove enough material for them to slide loosely in the carrier or just so that they go in?
Common practice to have to remove a bit of the backing plate. File/grinder or whatever you have. Also make sure you remove the shims. K-tec know their stuff so you should be reet.
