If anyone wants a blast in my 182 with yozza/decat then I'm at the RR day at Ripley tomorrow.
Pics and vids from when I fitted mine: http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?t=382869
A fabby mate of mine, it's pretty ordinary 36mm steel tube, not the seamless stuff that the cage is made from. It's not going anywhere though.
Then I profiled the ends to suit and sit level.
If anyone fancies trying to organise a group buy from somewhere that'd be good. There's a few in this thread already, myself and I know of at least 1 more who'd have one.
Re: Valver Track Car Project Thread
It was a fair amount of work, but 100% worth it IMO. Looks amazing too now with a bit of paint on.
Cheers. First track outing will be Marham 19th April I believe. I want it on the road well before then though for to get some test miles on it.
Re: Holy s**t! i've started something now!!!
Yep, I follow. If you stick with the valver driveshafts then give me a shout, I'm looking for some 172 ones at the moment.
Amazing how a bigger name on this forum generates 3 pages just like that from taking a few panels off!
Good stuff.
How are you planning on running 172 brakes without 172 hubs? Make up some adapters?
Do you have any 172 driveshafts left from the written off car?
Re: Valver Track Car Project Thread
Cheers people :)
Got some paint tonight so will do the rest of my Williams wheels and make a start on tidying then inside up ready for paint.
Re: Valver Track Car Project Thread
Update time.
Had a fair few more parts delivered to work in the past week, they love me.
Bilstein front dampers and lower springs, Williams fitment.
GAZ adjustable rear dampers
4 Toyo T1r's to go on the Williams wheels when I finish refurbing...
