Re: Valver Track Car Project Thread
Got a little more done today. Having treated any rusty parts of the subframe last night i painted it today. I originally planned on just touching up certain areas with hammerite, but that looked crap so I painted it all!
Got hold of a thermostat seal...
Re: Valver Track Car Project Thread
Cheers Mark. Sorry, wishbones yep, it was late last night!
The 2 wishbones I have are actually different makes; 1 pair of outer sleeves were a fairly loose fit and the other took a bit more effort. Welding them keeps all the movement in the bolt/inner...
Re: Valver Track Car Project Thread
Yours sellable? Never! I want to get hold of some edge trimming type stuff to make it look a little neater, but I dont think they look too bad as they are. Just got to sort the door pulls as I obviously have no handles now.
Standard new bushes came out...

Re: PH1 172 Track Car, abit special *ITB update*
Details on battery please?? Price and where from? How does the spec relate to the Varley ratings for their red tops?
Yep, theyre all mega high. Moris also did (for another £15 or so) an option to insure your excess, so if you bin it and cause more than £750's worth of damage then you dont pay a penny.
I choose to pay it, so what?
I didnt say it was a good price, I said that admiral/elephant were good, in relation to others.
You don't know me, so keep your comments to yourself please.
Shame its had to go, but good on you for realising it was a bit much too soon and admitting it. Plenty of time to mess about with cars yet. Glad its being continued though!
Bell/Admiral/Elephant wont insure you for it. I used MORIS in the past: http://www.moris.co.uk/
Competition car insurance will cover you also, but I found them to be a bit more expensive than the above.
