ok, and what about maintenance, brakes, tax, MOT's...fear of breaking down and leaving you and your kids stranded/late to an important meeting etc etc. Some people CBA with the effort or worry in a daily mate. Simple as that.
With a lease you want to pay the smallest initial payment possible, preferably 1 month. If you go and write that off next week, even with GAP insurance you will have lost that 1700.
No i agree with your reasoning hence why i bought a family car on lease also...
Mine has the same spec you mentioned plus slightly more id imagine. s**t slow engine though, annoying manual box. Glad the mrs drives it most of the time.
I agree! None of the old stuff is exciting to drive anymore imo. Not unless well modded. Went out driving my friends Evo 8 whilst he was mapping it. Circa 650hp and that was fairly exciting.
Well then its not £185 a month is it. Its more like £255 which isnt quite as great.
I got a Seat Ateca for £280 a month 15kpa and its a far superior car imo.
You have the wrong end of the stick. Ive had more jap imports than most people have had cars. I also think a Mk7 R is totally forgettable. Not saying the scooby doesn't have that feeling of specialness. Just saying when someone has been used to something modern and fast, then driving a stock 20+...
What's to elaborate on? It will feel old, wallowy, laggy and slow. I drove a WR1 a couple years back whilst i owned a Golf R and i thought the scooby was broken tbh.
1 litre in 13000 miles is not excessive. Pretty sure their tolerance is 1 litre every 3000miles. You do understand that modern turbo engines have to consume some oil by default.
f**king BrokenBois! Cant even watch it anymore. They dont have a f**king clue what they are doing most of the time. EVERYTHING breaks within 2 passes. Proper special.
