    Looks mint that! @the post above, on mine I did 3 fine coats of (Halfords) laquer and left it overnight, it was fine after that.

    www.auto-paint.co.uk are win. The colour of primer does matter, if you're going a bright coloru use white. If not, use grey.

    I'd love one tbh, people who upgrade from a normal MK2 to a RS mk2 seem to get bored after a while, probably because they are used to the car/interior/feel etc. so I don't think I'd upgrade to a 1*2.

    I got a second hand set of FK Highsports which are just the job. V-maxx coilovers are cheap, really good for handling and lower it by a lot too - might be worth looking into those.

    You only need to raise the body up a little bit, I did mine without anything (although it wasn't lowered at the time...).
