Yes and its main use is for removing windows viruses so that you don't accidentally send one on to a windows users.
Even the link you've posted shows it removing windows viruses!
In the "olden" days people would just take a new map from the local petrol station when they fancied a newer updated one, after all, they'd already paid for an older one previously! ;)
Smaller isn't always better! I think the form factor is about right, small phones suck ass big style.
The iPhone was considerably more powerful than any phone that was around at it's launch, technology has moved on since then.
I seriously hope that the new one isn't any smaller!
Yeah. I installed it once just before it released to check that there were no major compatability issues with our software, I checked both 32 & 64. I found a crap load of bugs in Vista 64 relating to 32 bit themed applications, I was rather suprised that I found so many. On the bright side...
What part is wrong? That's it's crap? Even if it wasn't crashing, it's still crap. It's a miserable failure.
If I didn't have to install it I'd go with XP, but unfortunately I do have to do some development work on vista.
Roll on Windows 7 when hopefully the "car crash of vista"...
I would do, but I can't install the drivers without it crashing!
User error can be ruled out. As for unsupported hardware, this little lot is hardly obscure.
GA-P35C-DS3R motherboard
GeForce 8800 GT graphics card
Q9450 Core2Quad processor
2GB DDR3 RAM
Machine works perfectly in...
I've spent all morning trying to install vista on my new machine at work...
..I'm still trying. Took about 1 1/2 hours to install (kept randomly crashing) and now keeps crashing. I can't even install the motherboard drivers without it crashing - and they won't install in safe mode either...
humn. You really need to see the "ports" section that daz mentioned earlier, but that isn't showing up on your computer!
When you insert the cardbus card does the computer go "Bing Bong"? Have you installed the drivers for it?
Ahh. Ok, I figured it was a dongle when you mentioned cad software.
So it is a CNC machine? What is the software that is controlling it? If it's Mach3 then give up now, it will never work.
I still don't think you're going to have much luck here though. Without knowing specifics (the...
Current home machine is a G4 powerbook (1.5Ghz) - although I still use my G4 quicksilver (733 Mhz) tower quite a bit too - and that's freaking ancient!
Unless you have a specific need for a larger display then I'd say laptop every single time - even if it's just for the ability to move from room to room freely.
Music you say....
...actually a few few days later I implented a 1 bit dac (same processor different board though). Although I don't have enough processing power to keep the screen running and have quality music coming out the DAC at the same time. (1 bit DAC is a processing power hog! 8 or...
future crew on the PC and brothers in arm on the archimedes rocked.
I wrote a demo for the archimedes.
Which reminds me, I did this at work a few months back to see how much speed I could get out of a microcontroller directly driving an lcd, i.e I am the framebuffer and I'm having to refresh...
It'll be 50/50 whether it would work anyway. Do you know what sort of dongle it is? Proprietry? Rainbow? Hasp?
Our parallel port dongle never worked on pci parallel port cards or on USB ones.
Most parallel port dongles will be accessed in "naughty ways" which is the cause of the...
No need. I swapped some magic beans for a "brown generic cheap piece 'o s**t switch" which is far more reliable than the netgear ever has been! Probably only cost £20!
Bargain. ;)
lol.
I've got a netgear switch at work, anytime I go near it it, it results in me spending half an hour playing the rather fun game "lets find a port which hasn't fucked itself".
I agree. Our old phone system was nortel. Complete and utter crap.
I replaced it with asterisk. Far better & free. I almost pissed myself when the company that rented some of our building bought a nortel exchange!
