i have the ITG filter on my 172 to be honest didnt see that much difference from the standard filter maybe a little more noise and slightly smoother and more responsive

id take it somewhere else to get another opinion if the tyre has a nail in it take it to some where cheaper to get a new tyre the brakes and discs you can do yourself and alot cheaper if your not confident in doing them yourself get another garage to have a look

i would say the pads should wear alot quicker than discs. not sure as to why the discs have worn that badly in only 18 months
