... and the face the wrath of somebody like me who's got 3 young kids and a f**king big 7-seater to push the cars of people, who park in parent and child bays but haven't got kids, out of the way  ;).
I either take a suitably sized child with me ... or if I'm on my own park at the top of...
I've had mine from new for 9 months and 7k miles, and whilst the experience hasn't been quite as wonderful as Mike ... all the problems have been annoyances rather than catastrophes.
Loving every moment of owning it ... even popping to the shops feels like a special event . Totally...
From the figures I've seen ... the standard service costs on the Vee are actually a little bit cheaper than those of the 172/182. That's of course until they start trying to tell you that you need new brake pads at £240 or whatever :dead:
Sadly I was at a prolonged School Governors meeting repeating a very simple concept and request again ... and again ... and again ... until it final sunk into somebody important's brain. I then came home ready to go to bed and ... :(
Day ... if you'd like a go in My First Vee ... just ask...
Re: Who'd have thunk it #2
Actually she was suprisingly quiet on the matter ... and not just because she was asleep in bed by the time I got finally sorted.
If I'd had suggested I washed the Vee at the weekend ... then f**king hell I'd have know about it :(.
Actually he showed me the video of the two Liquid Yellow Vees they'd had thru' the import centre a while back. We then discussed the crapness of id option pricing :o.
Also we had another guy joining in since he was so excited - he'd never seen one Vee ... let alone two .
Anybody who thinks that cleaning their car is something only done on a Sunday afternoon ... you're a pussy. Approaching midnight on a freezing Tuesday evening (yesterday) is the way to do it :S
[The reason I was doing this was because it was dripping oily water off all for...
So over the last 2-3 years I have seen a sum total of 2 x Mk2 (one of which was Kathy) and 1 x Mk1 V6s in my general locality.
Last night I popped to get some petrol and guess what was in the queue in front of me ...
Reckon we pissed loads of people off chatting on the forecourt for a...
Seriously? I'm used to Citroen and Peugeot sharing engines because they're obvious both part of the PSA group ... but not Renault too. Only PSA related part I knew about on the V6 was the rear brake calipers.
So I had to go to three different shops to get a copy of the Portsmouth Evening News last night... since over in Southampton it curiously is less popular that the Southampton Evening Echo ;). But there was no picture of my current car in the article like I might have expected with it being so...
Looking great ... and like Ally says a more standard tint on the rears would be the way forward.
From now on every bit of driving you do at any time to any place will feel a special event :approve:.
And if you're interested in getting one I'd recommend you PM s70res (Iain) on here since I know that he's got an unused BMC Carbon Induction kit for the V6 that he'd like to sell (and I'll leave it to him to explain why he's got a V6 kit but drives a 172).
Yep the gear knob gets freaking cold ... which is why I got used to driving in gloves. Good thing is the steering wheel doesn't slip with gloves on.
Exactly the same problem in the Vee too!
HCI looks good due to the salary sacrifice approach they use making it pre-tax ... but I didn't think you actually owned the computer at the end? So more like a inland revenue supported computer leasing scheme!?
Yep that's the basic problem with all the kitted up non-Vees. It's easy to use spacers to give the wider track ... but wheelbase on Vee is fair bit longer.
Get in there :D
I've always topped up with 99 RON from Winchester when I've been travelling "upwards". Now they've got it at my local Tesco at Burseldon Towers :). It's good stuff and I will be using it assuming they've not priced it more than Opti.
