So whats the deal with moving to full synth? Sure I read somewhere that you shouldnt until car had done 6k+? Assume its OK for me to put Excellium when I get the oil a first change done at around 2k?
Poor shocks on 172/182 are a common problem. It isnt down to wear and tear ... its down to poor shocks and Renault know that! You need to argue this further with them ...
Reckon theres somebody with over 50k. Ive done 2k in the 2 months since Ive got mine ... on the high side for me so hopefully will slow down to nearer 8k per annum.
Since then its got 2 rattles ... a minor kerbing ... and a b*****d chip on the front where a stone hit it on the bottom edge...

My Vee is totally practical. Ive 3 kids and not had a problem yet. Of course our other 7 seater does help ;) Also bought a buggy for the little un which in theory fits behind the front seats (courtesy of some pre-purchase measurements from Mike) tho to be honest I havent actually needed to do...
When its busy then it takes concentration to use and so I tend to revert to the "old fashion way" with the go pedal. However, in moderate traffic and below its great ... dial in 70 mph and let the car drive itself :o
