Im amazed at the number of people who ask, "So did you do all the mods yourself?" and are surprised when I reply, "No, I bought it from Renault like that, complete with the engine on the back seat!"...
Id parked out the front of a shop and...

1977 VW Polo - GAA 104S. Was my parents, then my sisters, then mine, and in the end my missus had it. Flogged it for £50 to a guy as a project for his son ... my missus took half of the money the cheeky mare . Did about 130k - last 50k without going about about 50 mph. Valve guides were...
Im actually having more of a problem with BMW and Audi man in the Vee.
Local BK/McD/KFC boys are interested and want to ask questions - even the chavs are my local convenience store wanted to talk about the car. Get plenty of other positive points and waves and thumbs up from other Clio...

Cool! i live in Bitterne and work in Hedge end so am driving between the two all the time. never get spotted though :(about a month ago i saw a blue v6 coming off the bitterne road going up to the traffic lights at west end road, was this...
And a Blue V6 too :D Born and bred and still live in Hedge End.
Had silver 172 Mk1 (now fUbArs) until I got the Vee. Is a black 172 Mk2 just a few doors down from me; a blue 172 Mk2 just round the corner; then another silver Mk1 and a silver Mk2 within the surrounding square mile.
Not many...

Certainly are (or have been) some 172 owners from Oz whove posted. In fact reckon somebody posted in the last couple of weeks about problem theyd had (broken / crashed) and they were from down under tho I cant find the post - of course it might have been a post that you made

So for a while I was going to get a Silver Mk2 until in the end I changed my mind (twice) to end up at Illiad
Id collected a few Silver Mk2 pictures ... cant be doing with posting them one by one so theyre here instead ... http://home.btconnect.com/andynet/ForSteve.zipclicky
Didnt wash my car so it looks like a rally sl*g ... and only found one excuse to go for a short drive in it ... tho we went "the long way". In fact the short way is a no go now due to the 20 mph limit enforced by extreme speed bumps.
Instead I got to challenge my vertigo by messing around at...

washed the car, and fitted its new plates, then went for a drive and took some pics.http://www.fubarnet.com/march_05/12.jpgPIC 1http://www.fubarnet.com/march_05/22.jpgPIC 2
Dan ... looking very good!! Bye bye Y697 :D
Yep ... I wash the missuss car. Is the "cost" of me being allowed to wash mine. However, her car is a Citroen C8 7-seater and hence f-ing massive. Took me 4 hours the other weekend to wash and polish it. Dont show in the same care and attention as mine tho ;)
Ditto with my Titanium 172. Looked good all the time. Indeed I seriously contemplated an Silver V6 (rare in a Mk2) ... but decided in the end that it was just a little bit "too bland" for a Vee.
Which was why I was so gutted about mine yesterday. Crawled out of a tight space (well for a V6) at 1mph ... no noise ... no vibration thru the steering wheel. Thought Id got out fine ... until I noticed otherwise last night
Fred ... assume its a case of getting the wheel to you ...
Must admit Im VERY glad I didnt go Black Gold on the Vee. A hard colour to start off with + loads of horizontal surfaces on the V6 that you dont get on the 172/182. Rather than running off the water simply sits on the sides / sills / bumpers ... and dries in muddy puddles
With all the other V6 owners here! I bought the V6 because it stirs something inside you - its not about rationality and facts and figures!! Thats why it tends to produce extreme reactions - the "its the best car ever" from those who connect with it - the "overpriced and not fast enough" from...
