Thanks for the ideas. I am hoping to have a perpex inner engine cover made but it seems like it will be a bit of a job cutting and bending to shape plus adding the lockdown screws.
Just thought that as millions of people keep asking me to see the engine it would be easier than removing both...

Ah such a loyal Clio owner. Wins the lottery and stays with Renault. We need more like you.
I personaly worry about how long the engine would last with these heavy sort of mods done, or am I just a sad old git maybe? Might all be worth one very fun filled weekend though.

Encourgement to use the SEARCH facility might be advertised a wee bit more. There is a wealth of very good advice to be found on this forum.
