Braided lines can clip into the exact same position as the regular hard lines. I thought concern would be around pedal feel more than anything else.
If they're clipped securely you'll get no chance of them moving.

Sounds like an earthing issue. Very common.
You'll likely have a corroded rear light connector, corroded earth from connector to chassis in the boot or a corroded bulb.
Check these first, if hazard switch turns on and off its not faulty.
