well im pretty sure its not the battery, had the lights on, stereo going, and blowers on full, and nothing gave any sign of complaint. ive still taken the battery out and put it on charge. can you replace just the relay for the start motor?? or do you have to replace the entire starter...

on a mk3 i have no idea, id have THOUGHT you could go down 60mm with no trouble as theyre quite a bit bigger than the mk2s but please dont hold me to that, as said by others, best bet is to get some nice 15/16s, theyll fit the arches abit nicers than 17s and you can lower it more! shame that...

Anyone got any more advice on this?? so far ive replaced the spark plugs, cleaned the distributor cap, cleaned the coil pack clean the TPS checked the earth straps and the problem persists, im going to have it plugged into a fault reader this weekend to see if it comes up with any results...

ill give this a go, but i cant see how the plugs would have got any water on them, theyve only been in there a week. also going to clean up the TSP, TDC and coilpack. then move on to replacing them all along eith the HT's :( got to love mk1 ownership!

its a valver mate, no coilpack on it, ive cleaned all the distributer out though, i was thinking TDC sensor last night, i may have a look today! cheers

please help! i changed the spark plugs and went of a long drive, (few short blasts of acceleration) and the problem seemed to clear, however i went over a pot hole last night and its started again! :( seems to be mainly in the wet!

tyres are band new as well, and its hand all the wheel bearings with any movement replaced also, how does geometry differ from tracking?? as i was going to have the tracking done when i get new rodends, should i have the geometry checked instead? or aswell??

it needs to be dropped, and large drop prefs, then smoked side repeators, CC and RS grill, then a very good clean! lol its on the edge of being a very nice car, just needs the above touches imo

no idea, once youre on coilovers you can completely adjust it, and its impossible really to measure accuratley

Ive used T1R's didnt like them at all, theyre soft compound that dont offer overly good grip in the dry, also agree with gally that they are very non-porgressive, theyll have grip until a certain point, then its all gone! theyre a midrange/budget tyre, if thats what youre after, go right...
