    130k miles - too high?

On the subject of prices, I think they have crept up a little. Or at least a lot of the cheaper cars have dried up. I paid £1350 for my 172 Cup four years ago. I've added 30k miles to it, put a dent in the side of it and have recently been offered £1300 for it, so it hasn't lost anything...

    Kangoo 182 Project

Love this, looks brilliant. Think I would have the dash/door cards flocked to match the seats but it's epic generally. I would have been tempted to leave it badged as a Nissan, just to confuse people even more.

Graham's summer 172 cup track car

I've done Javelin track days and always found them to be ok, no worse than MSVT ones in my experience. What was so bad about it? I'm sure if it was raining, the photographer deserves a bit of slack. Would you have stood out there in the rain taking pictures lol. Shame it was skittish but that's...

    130k miles - too high?

Mileage isn't a big issue provided it's been looked after. Mine has done almost 140k and I am using it daily at the moment. In the 30-odd thousand miles I've drived it, it's had the belts done, regular servicing, the lambda sensors replaced and a set of injectors. The engines in them are pretty...

    wheel refurb on old wheels?

The arguments about whether powder coating is safe is as old as the hills. Must be thousands and thousands of cars out there with powder coated wheels that are fine though.

    wheel refurb on old wheels?

I very much doubt that blasting would cause cracking in the wheels. The term 'sandblasting' is a bit generic really, as any good blaster should have access to a range of mediums. I think you were probably just unlucky with the last set.

    Porsche Boxster 2.7 986

It does look lovely. I do like them a lot. Like you say, I'm sure it's fast enough to be fun. I think we get caught up in big numbers nowadays though. Bet it's a riot.

    The 320D.

    Wheels are a monumental improvement!

    Porsche Boxster 2.7 986

Looks really clean that. Probably not the quickest thing out there but bet it's lovely to drive, especially with the sunshine at the moment!

    New car...again....Kit car content

Is it possibly to make alternatives? My rally car runs Compbrake reservoirs and none of the caps in my Gunson kit fitted it, so I bought a spare reservoir and made my own cap.

A black Puma, silver 197 (with awful black Renault Sport stickers down the side of it) and think a guy went in a blue TT RS too.

Could someone recommend a clio specialist for cam seal / rocker cover in essex thanks

Engine Dynamics or Mark Fish would get my vote. Used both and got great service.

    These days, 3 grand buys an e90 330i ...

I saw the first one, but the miles are a bit strong for me. I do about 18-20k a year so would prefer something a bit lower. Second one doesn't look bad though. I was going to spend £6/7k but I just don't think I can be bothered now, so something like this is a bit more appealing. If you happen...

    These days, 3 grand buys an e90 330i ...

Like that. Am in the market for something like this but struggling to find anything. Want an estate really, which instantly seems to make it a pain in the arse. Good job on taking off all the tat. I have a deep hatred for wind deflectors.

    Ricardo's Pearl White 220 Trophy

I think I actually prefer the silver blade, breaks things up a bit. Just a shame you need to buy the rear spoiler again ;)

My new racecar project (Icemans old shell)

    MarkCup's 2017 Ford Focus RS

I can't really see a difference to be honest. One is a Focus with some extra gauges and fancy Recaro seats, while the other is, err, a Focus with some extra gauges and some fancy Recaro seats. The MK3 Focus doesn't have the most attractive dash in it's class (though neither did the MK2), but...
