We had a bright yellow ZR stolen from outside our office a few weeks ago. Never seen it since. We also had a cav gsi 4x4 nicked from a car park in oxford a few years ago. Never seen that again either. Maybe ur mate should prepare himself for the fact that he might not get it back.
