Be prepared for the new consoles to have similar size updates, more detailed graphics will mean they'll need it.

It's done no harm to PC gaming.
You can get codes to download console games from different sites and bargains can be had.
The only thing it does mean is no resale value.
That's a pretty dinky little thing, the pictures you see of it make it look huge.

It won't necessarily use more data, just that what it does use it will be a lot faster.
I would be going with the deal for 100gb data if you get decent coverage from 3 in your area.
I've been with 3 for about 6 years and never had any issues with them.
It really depends on the area you're in as to what network is best for you though.
