Cheers 👍 I'll order them. Strange why it says " rear" check straps 🤔

Where did you get the door check straps from? I replaced the drivers side one a couple of years ago and that clunks really bad. I changed the passenger side one a few weeks ago and now that clunks, even after smothering it in lithium grease. They were both from ebay and none genuine parts.

Renault Clio 182 OEM Parts List

Thanks for posting all that info 👍 Just a couple of questions. It says the front shock absorber 54mm and 60mm bolt spacing have the same Monroe part number G7203? Likewise the rear shock absorber for cup and none cup. G1049?

What have you done to your car today ???

That's actually the way I went last time. I always put it in Google maps in case there are any problems. It's the first time it's taken me that way. Normally I've gone down the M56 then M53. That's the way I went a couple of weeks ago when I had the cambelt / aux belt service. It took me around...

What have you done to your car today ???

Not actually today. A couple of days ago had the Big service at Birchdown. Both belts, aux belt tensioner, thermostat, water pump and spark plugs. Total round trip of 4hrs 15mins. I hate the M6 ☹️ Back to Birchdown today to fit a new passenger side drive shaft and new Redline MTL gearbox oil.

    Decent and useable v6

Those grills look shocking 😱 Looks like it's a black car that's had a blue vinyl wrap.

    172 Cup OEM+

That's definitely a cheap Chinese reproduction caliper. You can tell from the arm that the handbrake cable goes through. Original calipers the arm looks like this.

Clutch Fitting, Anyone in Manchester Fancy doing it!

Take it to Birchdown. If you're in Manchester it won't be that far for you. It's good 3 hour round trip for me. I'm booked in for my cambelt, aux belt.... service in a couple of weeks. They're always very busy. I've been going to Andy and Steve for years and their work is always spot on 👍...

182 rear quarter panel replacement - Part 2

Ahhhh right. It does look a bit perished. I think it should be ok though if it's bonded in.

182 rear quarter panel replacement - Part 2

That seal looks a bit strange. Has it had a new quarter glass in the past? It doesnt look like it's got the factory tint? They are bonded in, but there's a seal inside as well. Yours looks like it's coming out. This is what mine looks like.

HELP: Wheel bearing on a Clio 182 CUP, 38mm, 39mm or 40mm width?!?!?!

Less than half the price from Autodoc for an SNR wheel bearing 😉

    182 tyre options

I don't know who told you that? But it's not true. The Avon zv7s are still available from lots of different places and haven't been discontinued.

HELP: Wheel bearing on a Clio 182 CUP, 38mm, 39mm or 40mm width?!?!?!

Well that's the correct size. Maybe they only ship to Europe?

HELP: Wheel bearing on a Clio 182 CUP, 38mm, 39mm or 40mm width?!?!?!

This is the correct wheel bearing. Buycarparts is part of Autodoc. https://m.buycarparts.co.uk/snr/1928691

Internet diagnosis are never the best. But it sounds a bit like mine did when the water pump was on its way out.

They should be 21 inch both sides. Like ya say. That windscreen wiper is very small lol.

    182 tyre options

Never heard of the Maxxis. Let us know how you get on with the Avons when you've had them fitted. Like I said previously. I like a good, spirited drive and never had a problem in the dry or wet with them. I wouldn't use tyres if they were crap. I always order my tyres from Camskill. They're...

    182 tyre options

I'm a big fan of Rainsports, especially in the wet. I ran 2s and 3s for a couple of years. But the wear rate was rubbish. I could go through a set in 5k miles on the road 😲 that's why I never bothered trying Rainsports 5s.

    182 tyre options

I've been running Avon ZV7s for the past couple of years on my 182 after a couple of recommendations. The wear rate is brilliant. Never let me down in the wet or dry when pushing on and only £78 a corner 👍...

What have you done to your car today ???

I think it depends what the warning light is. If it's an abs fault, my understanding is that it's a safety issue and would be a fail. I'm guessing it depends on the MOT tester, how well you know them 😉

    ***How much is it worth?***

£2k tops. It wants some serious money spending just on the rust alone, then factor in the belts, you're looking at spending another £2k just to get it looking half decent again.

Clio 182 rear speakers have a crossover? 🔊

Sorry I can't help with your problem. Just out of interest. What speakers did you put in the fronts? I'm looking to change mine sometime.

    Happy birthday 182 - 20-years-old today

Well done and Happy Birthday 👍 🎉🎊 My 182 is coming up to 19 years ownership from new in February 2025. If I'd waited a couple of weeks it would have been an 06 plate. It's only got 125k on the clock so not too high mileage for its age. It's had a s**t load of money thrown at it in the past few...

    172 Cup poor handbrake performance

It could be your handbrake cables are old and have stretched which has been mentioned. I was experiencing the same. It just wasn't holding very well on steep hills. I always leave it in gear anyway but obviously wanted the handbrake to hold the car. My cables are only a couple of years old so...

Non fault claim, what would you do?

Yeah 90 days lol. Mad isn't it. I knew the arch liner wasn't available. But Renault told my bodyshop it was available on back order. There wasn't any actual damage to the arch liner caused by the accident. The existing damage had been there for years so he thought he'd order me a new one lol...

    Eezibleed alternative.

It pisses all over the Eezibleed for quality. You'll see what I mean when it arrives 👍 Plus there's no faffing about connecting it to your wheel. It's dead easy just to keep it at 20psi with a few pumps. I did all 4 calipers in next to no time. I bled through a couple of litres. I'd been having...

    Eezibleed alternative.

It's gone up a couple of quid since I bought it. There does seem to be quite a few sellers selling it now, for a little bit less. Well they look the same as mine anyway.
